ABOUT ALMADEN YOGA

Our vision is make yoga a part of your day-to-day life. We welcome all those who wish to enjoy the benefits of yoga – those who have never tried yoga to the most experienced yogis. We make sure you enjoy your yoga journey in a friendly, clean, and serene environment with well-experienced instructors and jovial camaraderie.

Almaden Yoga is owned by a husband-wife team, Anuja Chaudhri and Ron Victor. It was Anuja’s passion for reaching out through yoga that guided her into creating her own baby – Almaden Yoga. Ron, a serial entrepreneur helped her in building this dream. Anuja brings laughter and warmth to the studio while Ron with his serious look adds to the order and meticulous ways – he does laugh once in a while! The studio reflects the love they have for yoga and their friendly personality seeps into every member, teacher and class.

If you visit the studio make sure to introduce yourself to them either in person, phone call or email. They love to hear from their members.

ABOUT AFRICA YOGA PROJECT

The teachings and practice of yoga, the original inspiration and foundation for the Africa Yoga Project organization, continue to be the primary vehicle for our work.

Yoga has empowered millions of people across the world by supporting physical, mental and emotional health, facilitating authentic personal expression, building supportive communities, and inspiring positive action to contribute to others. We are dedicated to delivering all that yoga has to offer to the diverse communities of East Africa, while at the same time providing opportunities for members of the global yoga community to participate and contribute.

AYP’s core activities on a weekly basis include: yoga practice, meditation, self-exploration through inquiry, performing arts as a vehicle for empowerment, health education (HIV/AIDS), relationship building, and community activism. All programs are designed to increase physical, emotional and mental wellbeing on the individual level while also building healthy and empowered communities.
